5 things to know about the 2017 CNE Air Show

The air show happens Saturday, Sunday and Monday on Labour Day weekend from noon to 3 p.m. The best spots to view the show are at the CNE grounds. There are also several VIP viewing options, which require a ticket.
This year’s show will feature the CF-18 Hornet, a jet with unbelievable manoeuvrability, combat capabilities and power. The Hornet is a crowd favourite that promises to amaze. This year, the jet also features a Canada 150-style paint scheme.

The CF Snowbirds are Canada’s icons of the air, serving as ambassadors for the Canadian Armed Forces, wowing spectators across North America. The Snowbirds showcase s a high-speed aerial performance of formation feats and aerobatic artistry.
Civilian flyers, including master air show pilot Mike Wiskus will swoop, soar, dive and loop over Toronto in the famous Lucas Oil Pitts Special aircraft. His awe-inspiring and gasp-inducing performance helped him become the 2002 U.S. National Aerobatic Champion.
Several historic aircrafts will appear at the show. Among them is the U.S. Air Force’s Heritage Flight, a program that consists of aircraft from the Second World War, Korea and Vietnam eras. Over Toronto, viewers can expect to see the F-22 Raptor and the P-51 Mustang.
